Emily Lowe is a writer, editor and professor of creative writing at Holy Cross. She is at work on a novel about obsession and a short story collection that circles queerness, folklore, and the ocean.
She currently serves as an editor for serialized literary magazine The Rejoinder and worked for two years as fiction editor for the esteemed literary magazine Ecotone which received the AWP Small Press Publishing Award during her tenure.
Her prose and poetry have appeared in The Normal School, Chicago Review, River Teeth, and elsewhere. She has received support from the Tin House Writers’ Workshop, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and the North Carolina Writers Network.
She holds an M.F.A in Nonfiction from the University of North Carolina Wilmington where she was the 2019-2020 Philip Gerard Fellow. She now lives between Rhode Island and Brooklyn where she co-hosts The Cusp, an astrologically-influenced reading series in Crown Heights.
